Local teen Hannah Hoobyar is collecting new and gently used teddy bears, quilts and blankets Wednesday to donate to victims affected by recent tornadoes in the Midwest.

The 14-year-old will collect items Wednesday from 3pm-7pm outside the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in south Reno. A moving van for Project Bear Hugs will be parked outside the building, located at 3800 South Virginia Street.

Hoobyar has also collected bears and blankets for Colorado flood victims, survivors of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma.
