Douglas County deputies have a man in custody suspected of stalking numerous high school athletes throughout Northern Nevada.

Investigators say 59-year-old Rodney Skan of Reno was arrested at a Douglas County High School track meet after a school administrator noticed him video taping a specific student.

Investigators say he tried to leave but was arrested Saturday in the parking lot.

On Monday, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor stalking and faces up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.

Deputies are still looking into how many students he targeted. If you know anything that can help investigators, call 782-9905.

This is the second incident of this nature reported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the past two weeks, although the previous incident occurred in Carson City, the students are from Douglas High.

The investigation is ongoing.
