Washoe County Medical Examiner Releases Infant's Autopsy Results

Posted: Updated:
The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has released the cause of death for the eight-month-old infant who was falsely pronounced dead, before actually dying at Renown Regional Medical Center.

The medical examiner's autopsy results say that 8-month old Cheyanne Loney's cause of death was accidental drowning.

The 8-month old had been taken to the medical examiner's office on February 20th, after being pronounced dead that morning at Renown.

The medical office determined that Loney was still alive, and she was taken back to Renown, where she was pronounced dead a second time several hours later.
