Authorities say an electric wall heater may be to blame for a fire that destroyed the second floor of a home in Mammoth Lakes.

Crews say Saturday morning's fire spread throughout the upstairs bedroom. The 1,800 square foot home is located on Vacation Place.

Mammoth Fire responded with two engine companies, two truck companies, and two command officers, a total of 24 firefighters.

No one was hurt in the blaze. They say no one had been in the house for days.
