Public Asked to Report Suspicious Boys & Girls Club Solicitations

Posted: Updated:
From the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows:

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows does not solicit donations door-to-door, nor does it solicit donations at storefront tables or kiosks.

Recently, it was reported that individuals claiming to represent the Boys & Girls Club were soliciting donations door-to-door in a City of Sparks neighborhood. They were reportedly selling goods stating that the proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club.

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is asking the public to report to local police and Club administration any persons claiming to represent the Club in this manner. Please call the City of Reno Police dispatch at 334-2121 or the City of Sparks Police dispatch at 353-2231. The Club administration can be reached at 331-KIDS (5437).
