Crews Knock Down Attic Fire in Cold Springs

Crews Knock Down Attic Fire in Cold Springs

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District in investigating a fire that broke out in the attic of a home in Cold Springs Friday night.

They say the fire started around 9:45 p.m. at a home on Sandpiper Drive near Egret Lane.

According to TMFPD they responded with four engines and were able to knock down the fire in about 10 minutes, but had to cut a hole in the roof of the home to attack the flames.

They say the people inside the home at the time were able to make it out without injury. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
