Investigators have ruled out distracted driving as the cause of a head-on collision in Sun Valley Monday night that sent three adults and six children to the hospital.

Washoe County Deputies say the white car was traveling westbound on Highland Ranch Parkway around 6:15 pm. It crossed into the opposite lane, hitting the green car which was headed east.

Everyone involved was treated for minor injuries except for one man who suffered a broken femur.

Investigators are looking into whether a vehicles malfunction was the cause of the crash.
