Easter Weekend Celebrations

Posted: Updated:
The Boys and Girls Club held an Easter egg hunt Saturday in Sun Valley.

"We had so many people today,” said Heather Sam with the Boys and Girls Club. “This is our biggest turnout ever for being our third year. It gets bigger and bigger every year.”

In total, there were 6,000 thousand eggs, 3,000 were hard boiled, and 3, 000 were plastic.

Saturday at Sun Valley Regional Park, hundreds of kids and their families were hunting for these eggs....

But hidden in this field, sits a few golden eggs.

“My main goal was trying to find the golden egg, but all I found was half-golden and pretty much half orange (eggs),” said Brody Lee.

“My strategy is mainly to go for all the plastic, and then once all of the older kids were getting them all because they have bigger hands, I'll go for regular eggs,” said 9-year-old Matthew Valenzuela.
