While many people celebrated Easter one day early on Saturday, one local shop celebrated a lesser known holiday.
Today, Recycled Records in Midtown Reno celebrated Record Store Day - a celebration of music held by record stores and musicians nationwide. And today they celebrated it with live music and art from local artists, drinks and special music releases.
Organizers say its all about sharing a love of music. "Enjoying the culture of record stores, the idea of going and buying things in your hands and dealing with other people and talking about your music taste," says owner Paul Doege.
Saturday's event was also a Food Drive for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Record Store Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in April.
