The one-sided Silver State rivalry continued Wednesday night at Aces Ballpark as Las Vegas dropped Reno, 4-2. The 51s have won 17 of the last 20 meetings between the two teams.

It looked to be a promising night for Archie Bradley as he struck out a pair in a 1-2-3 first inning. Trouble quickly found the right-hander in the second as he allowed three singles and walked a batter as the 51s grabbed a 1-0 lead.

It didn't get any better in the third as Bradley walked Eric Campbell to start the frame, then hit Wilmer Flores. First Baseman Allan Dykstra roped a two-run single off the wall in left-center to make it 3-0. The top prospect in the Arizona organization allowed four runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. He walked two and hit two batters as well.

The Aces tried to rally in the middle innings behind the bat of Mike Jacobs. He doubled to start the fourth inning and scored on a run-scoring single by Alfredo Marte. In the fifth, Jacobs delivered an RBI double down the right-field line, scoring Ender Inciarte to cut the deficit to 4-2. The double put runners at second and third with one out but Reno couldn't cash in. Jacobs finished the night 3-for-4 and is hitting .417.

The bullpen combination of Derek Eitel, Jess Todd, Joe Paterson and Zeke Spruill held the 51s off the scoreboard for the rest of the night, but the offense couldn't complete the comeback.

Reno got lead off singles from Blake Lalli in the sixth and Nick Evans in the eighth but both runners were stranded in scoring position.

51s closer Jeff Walters worked a perfect ninth inning to notch his league-leading fourth save of the year.

The Aces look to get back on track in game three of the series Thursday night. They'll send right-hander Bo Schultz (1-1, 2.31) to the mound against Las Vegas left-hander Dana Eveland (0-0, 8.44). First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
