Posted: Updated:

For heart attack patients, a simple EKG test in the ambulance could mean the difference between life and death.

Why does Alzheimer's disease affect far more women than men?

Researchers at Stanford University think they may have found a clue. It all boils down to a gene variant.

Researchers say women who carry this particular variant are far more likely to develop Alzheimer's than men who carry it.

And do you ever find yourself feeling inexplicably cranky toward your significant other? It could be because you're hungry.

A new three-year-long study finds that married people who had low levels of blood sugar due to hunger, tended to get angrier at their spouses.

The study's authors believe it's because glucose helps fuel the part of the brain that regulates self control - and when it runs low, so does your patience.

The researchers' recommendation? Before you have a difficult conversation with your spouse, you might want to eat something first.
