The first of four major championships in professional golf, the 2014 Masters Tournament, kicks off April 10 and this year 41 of the 93 competitors are alumni of the Reno-Tahoe Open. This lineup includes 2013 winner Gary Woodland who has two PGA TOUR victories to his name. Woodland's eligibility for the Masters Tournament comes from qualifying for the 2013 season-ending TOUR Championship.

Alongside Gary Woodland, Fred Couples Jason Dufner and Bubba Watson are among the former Reno-Tahoe Open players competing in The Masters. Here are a few interesting facts about other tournament alumni playing in this year's Masters Tournament:
* Reigning Masters champion and current number two ranked player in the world, Adam Scott, played in the 2000 Reno-Tahoe Open on an exemption.
* Reno-born Kevin Stadler and son of former Masters champion, Craig Stadler, will both compete in this year's tournament. They will be the first father-son duo to play at the same tournament. Kevin was a runner-up in the 2007 Reno-Tahoe Open.
* After finishing second in the 2004 Reno-Tahoe Open, Hunter Mahan went on to win two World Golf Championship events, including the 2010 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the 2012 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

"As a golf fan, watching the Masters every April is something I look forward to for months." Chris Hoff, executive director of the Reno-Tahoe Open, said. "What makes it even better is being able to see so many of the pros who have played here in Reno tee it up at Augusta. Adam, Bubba, Freddie, Dufner, now Gary; there are so many that we have seen at Montrêux that will be taking on AmenCorner and The Masters. I can't wait."
