From the City of Reno:

The City of Reno and other community partners are organizing a David Wise Parade of Champions, planned for Saturday, April 26 at 5 p.m. in downtown Reno. The parade will end roughly 30 minutes later at Aces Ballpark.

Wise, the first person from Reno to win an Olympic gold medal, will likely be joined by other regional medal winners from the recent 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi.

The parade will include a moving honor guard salute at the Virginia Street Reno Arch and classic cars and other automobiles provided by Hot August Nights. The athletes will be signing autographs prior to that evening's Reno Aces game, scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

The parade will begin and head west from the corner of Center and Fourth Streets, continue south on Virginia Street, continue east on Second Street, then move north on Evans Avenue.

From 4 pm to 5:30 pm northbound Virginia Street between 1st and 4th Streets will be closed, along with Sierra Street from Commercial Row to Second street.

Also, eastbound Plaza Street will be closed between Virginia and Center.

And after the parade starts at 5pm there will be rolling closures on Virginia southbound to Second Street and eastbound to Aces Ballpark until around 5:30pm.
