Reno Police Arrest Man on Burglary Charges

Reno police have arrested a man they say may be linked to several area burglaries.

At around 5:20am Wednesday, officers say they saw a man trying to break in through the roof of a Chinese restaurant in the 2300 block of South Virginia Street.

He was arrested and identified as Carlos Mata-Rodriguez.

Police say that during an interview he admitted to committing a series of commercial burglaries that started at the beginning of march.

He has been charged with 19 counts of burglary, attempted burglary, and possession of burglary tools.
