Posted: Updated:

The Reno Police Department has arrested a Reno man in connection with last Friday's stabbing in Downtown Reno.

After serving two search warrants with the assistance from the Reno Police SWAT team, 36-year-old Darrell Garrett was arrested on one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.

Police responded to a large fight at the Knitting Factory on N. Virginia Street near Second Street. Police found one person who had been stabbed several times. At the time, that person's injuries were life-threatening, but police say that person's condition later improved. Several more victims with stab wounds showed up to the hospital, where they were treated and released.

The Regional Gang Unit assisted with the investigation and concluded that physical evidence linked Garrett to the incident.

Garrett also faces one count of battery with a deadly weapon and severa narcotics-related charges.

Police tell Channel 2 News the stabbing victims should recover.
