Megan Dortch tossed a complete game and allowed just one unearned run as the Nevada softball team completed a three-game sweep of Mountain West foe New Mexico on Sunday at Hixson Park.

With the win, Nevada evened its conference record at 3-3 and improved to 21-13 overall. New Mexico fell to 10-23 and 1-5. The Wolf Pack will hit the road this week to take on preseason MW favorite San Diego State in a three-game series beginning Friday.

The Wolf Pack's offense, which ripped 22 hits in the first two games of the series, wasn't as lethal on Sunday but Nevada found ways to score off Lobos' starter Lisa Rodrigues. Nevada jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a walk, hit batter, sacrifice bunt, illegal pitch and a groundout.

Nevada was held hitless until the sixth as Jasmine Jenkins singled to right with to score Ashley Butera from second to push the lead to 3-0.

Dortch, who had worked out of trouble in a number of frames earlier, did so again in the seventh. The Lobos loaded the bases with one out on a hit batter, an error and a walk. A ground ball to Megan Sweet at shortstop yielded an out at second with an unearned run scoring. Dortch then got a pop-up to second to end it.

Coming off her first career no-hitter on Friday, Dortch struck out four and walked five, scattering four hit and giving up the unearned run to get the win and improve to 9-6 on the year.
