Annual RSCVA Survey Shows Visitors Enjoy Area, Return

Posted: Updated:

An annual survey from the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority finds people who come to the region enjoy it and keep coming back.

According to the annual Visitor Profile Survey, almost three quarters of those who visited Washoe County last year had come here at least once before - and almost 90% had been here before within the past two years.

Also more than 80% viewed their visit positively, and almost three out of four said they would likely come back.

The survey also found an 8% increase in family visits to the region from 2011. "We're getting great response from people, they're loyal and they're bringing more family members under 21, which shows that we really can be a family-friendly four-season resort destination," says RSCVA President and CEO Christopher Baum.

Visitors also spent $685 each day of their visit, a 9% increase from 2011.
