Washoe County Now Offers Online Payment for Water & Sewer

Posted: Updated:

From Washoe County:

The Washoe County Community Services Department (CSD) is now accepting online payments for water and sewer customers through www.washoecounty.us/water. Customers will need the first eight digits of their account number as well as their billing zip code, and charges may be paid with a credit card, debit card or E-check.

"Washoe County is pleased to be able to provide an increased level of service to our water and sewer customers with the implementation of an online payment system," said Ben Hutchins, CSD Director of Finance and Administration. "We encourage customers to use this new service, as it's an efficient way for both customers and the County to process utility payments."

Other payment options for water and sewer accounts continue to include a direct charge to a customer's checking account, automatic debit from MasterCard or Visa and traditional payment methods via mail or in person at 4930 Energy Way or the Treasurer's Office at 1001 East Ninth Street in Reno. For billing inquiries concerning a water or sewer bill or general information, call (775) 954-4601. Office Hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The County owns and operates 18 water systems and a membrane water treatment plant certified to treat both ground and surface water, 15 wastewater collection systems, and 3 wastewater treatment/water reclamation and reclaimed water storage and distribution system facilities.
