It's time to break out your green! St. Patrick's Day isn't ‘til Monday, but there will be some serious celebrating going on this weekend!

In Virginia City, the celebrating will start with their annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry followed by a Leprechaun Crawl to wash down those fried testicles. In Reno, leprechauns will take over downtown on Saturday night. And the annual St. Baldrick's Event to raise money and awareness for the Children's Cancer Foundation is this weekend as well. And that's just the beginning. Enjoy!

The Veteran's Guest House in Reno is there for families of veterans. Local radio stations will be there raising money to keep it going. The annual Radiothon helps keep the facility going all year long.

Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry in Virginia City, parade at noon, Leprechaun Crawl to follow

This annual event is expected to draw 200 competitive cooker and 3,000 tasters. The St. Patrick Day Parade is set for noon through town and the Leprechaun Crawl will last all afternoon.

Poetry Out Loud Finals at the Siena, noon

This is the state competition for school-age poets. There will be 15 competitors this year from around the state. The finals are set for noon on Saturday. The winners take home cash and the top winner goes to Washington, D.C. for the national competition and a chance at $50,000 in scholarship money.

Welcome Home Olympians Bash in Tahoe

The town of Meyers, California will be turning out for a townwide celebration of Tahoe Olympians who will be celebrated and be on hand for autograph signings all afternoon. Parade is set to arrive at Sierra at Tahoe at 1:40.

St. Baldrick's Reno Livestock Events Center, exhibit hall 6:30-9 pm

Every year folks opt to shave their heads to raise money for the Children's Cancer Foundation and this year the local event will be held at the Livestock Events Center's Exhibit Hall from 5:30-9 pm.
