A US Airways plane blew a tire as it was taking off from Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday evening and the nose gear collapsed as the plane landed, the airline said.

The 149 passengers and five crew members aboard Flight 1702 were evacuated onto the runaway, an airline spokeswoman said. There were no reports of injuries.

The Airbus A320 was taking off from Philadelphia en route to Fort Lauderdale when the incident occurred, the spokeswoman said.  (CBS)
