Community Notification: Tier 3 Sex Offenders Move to Reno

From the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit:

The Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU) is informing the general public of informational matters related to two Tier III (High Risk) Sex Offenders.
 
Mr. Nevada George Snider, age 49, has been assessed as a Tier III Offender by the State of Nevada Sex Offender Registry.  The RSONU has been notified that he will be residing in the 500 block of South Virginia Street, and is currently unemployed.          
 
Mr. Snider is in compliance with all Sex Offender laws, and is not wanted by law enforcement. 
 
Mr. Snider is not currently being supervised by the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation.  

Mr. Curtis Herbert, age 49, has been assessed as a Tier III Offender by the State of Nevada Sex Offender Registry.  The RSONU has been notified that he is homeless and will be staying in downtown Reno by the railroad tracks. Herbert is currently unemployed.          
 
Mr. Herbert is in compliance with all Sex Offender laws, and is not wanted by law enforcement. 
 
Mr. Herbert is currently not being supervised by the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation.

Anyone with questions about this offender can call the RSONU at 775-353-2244, Monday through Friday, 7a-5p. 
 
Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will NOT be tolerated.  Any threats, intimidation or harassment against the offender is unlawful, and could subject the individual engaging in such an act to criminal prosecution, in addition to possible civil liability.
 
The RSONU is a collaborative effort between law enforcement in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County, to monitor and enforce the requirements set forth in the Nevada Revised Statutes for Registered Sex Offenders.
