Pack Fans Ready to Cheer Nevada to NCAA Tournament!

Posted: Updated:

Both Nevada basketball teams are in Las Vegas for the Mountain West Tournament, with the women already picking up their first win. Now fans from Reno are hoping the teams will give them even more to cheer about.

Whether you're a University of Nevada student, or a die-hard Wolf Pack fan, basketball games don't get any bigger than in the month of March.

That's why these fans made the trip to Las Vegas.

"Gotta support the team. You gotta be here and come down and travel with them when they go on the road."

"It's been great fun. There's been a lot of activity in town and we've been to a bunch of the games. And it's been a really good time."

Now that the Wolf Pack women have advanced to the semifinals, fans are hoping can follow up with another victory after ending the season with some momentum.

"That was great. Especially the win over UNLV. That was a strong finish and coach Carter will get them on the right track, I'm sure."

"I have a lot of confidence in this team. They had us worried a little bit, this year, but they're doing good now. They're peaking when they need to."

But fans are also finding other ways to spend their time when the games aren't going on.

"We have a lot of family down here. So, we're real excited to spend time with them and just explore Vegas."

While it's all about the games at the Thomas and Mack Center, the fans are hoping they can cheer the Pack into the NCAA Tournament.

"Quite a few years since the Sweet 16 and I would like to get back because I think we can advance."

Both teams have a few days off. The men's championship bid starts Thursday night. The women play Friday.
