Diamondbacks Send 4 to Reno, 9 Others to Minor League Camp

The Arizona Diamondbacks optioned four players to the Reno Aces Baseball Club and nine others to minor league camp, the Diamondbacks announced.

The four players that were optioned to the Aces are LHP Eury De La Rosa, RHP Zeke Spruill, and OFs Ender Inciarte and Alfredo Marte.

In addition, RHPs Jake Barrett, Mike Bolsinger, Adam Russell and Matt Stites, INFs Nick Ahmed, Nick Evans and Jake Lamb, C Bobby Wilson and OF Danny Dorn were all assigned to minor league camp.

In 44 relief appearances for Reno last year, De La Rosa posted a 3-5 record with a 5.26 ERA. He made his Major League debut with Arizona on July 14 and went 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in 19 games for the Diamondbacks.

Inciarte batted .281 with 43 stolen bases for Double-A Mobile in 2013, and this season will be his first at the Triple-A level.

2014 will mark Marte's second year with the Aces. He hit .280 with 24 doubles and 48 RBIs in 86 games for Reno last season after making Arizona's Opening Day roster.

Spruill made 16 starts for the Aces in 2013 and went 6-5 with a 4.21 ERA. Spruill also made his Major League debut last season, going 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA for the Diamondbacks in six games.
