Nevada Highway Patrol has released the names of the two drivers involved in an accident on State Route 208 north of Topaz Lake Monday afternoon. One of the drivers died.

The accident happened just before 1pm in Douglas County on Highway 208 just east of Highway 395 north of Topaz Lake.

NHP spokesman Chuck Allen says a green 1992 Mitsubishi pickup was trying to cross State Route 208 as a blue 2013 Peterbilt carrying ten black bulls was on 208. When the pickup pulled out, the semi truck's driver did not have time to stop and slammed into the pickup.

The pickup's driver, 87-year-old Samuel H. Dupuis of Wellington, as well as his dog were killed in the accident.

The semi truck driver, 51-year-old William C. Whiteaker of Newman, California, as well as the bulls were not hurt.
