Sparks Police Investigate Rollover Accident

Posted: Updated:

According to the Sparks Police Department, distracted driving may be to blame for a rollover accident near Golden Eagle Regional Park.

Police say the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Homerun Drive, which is the entrance road to the park.

They say the vehicle had left the roadway and veered into a ditch, which caused the car to roll over.

Police say the driver managed to get out of the vehicle when they arrived and another was still inside.

The driver is identified as Laura Davis, she was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.

Police say the passenger was Patrick Mor.

At this time, officers believe distracted driving may be the cause of accident, however it is still under investigation.
