Posted: Updated:

From the Red Cross:

Reno, NV (February 21, 2014) - Local American Red Cross workers responded to another house fire in Stead early this morning. The Disaster Action Team helped to coordinate emergency aid for a family of 6, including 2 adults and 4 children ages 3-11. The family also had a dog and cat that were displaced. The Red Cross provided funding for lodging and food.

Red Cross workers on the scene were members of the Chapter's Disaster Action Team, a group of specially trained volunteers who respond to the scene of a local disaster when called upon at any time of the day or night.
