Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers now say alcohol could be a factor in a rollover accident that closed a portion of I-580 Thursday morning.

NHP says 31-year-old Brian Kleidostu of Reno was driving northbound a 2012 black Chevrolet on I-580 around 8:15 a.m. in a pickup truck.

NHP says Kleidostu could not decide which ramp to use to transition onto I-80 and he struck the divider between the two. They say the truck rolled across two lanes before coming to a stop, resting on the freeway wall.

Trooper Dan Lopez says Kleidostu was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. REMSA tells us a male passenger in the truck was also treated on scene for minor injuries before being released.

Earlier Trooper Lopez told us that alcohol was "definitely" involved in the crash, but in a press release later released, he said it "could be" a factor in the crash. He also said that Kpleidostu will be charged and booked into the Washoe County Jail once he is released.

Witnesses to the event or anyone with additional information are encouraged to call the Department of Public Safety-Communications Center at (775) 687-0400 regarding case # NHP 140201705.
