"Have you seen these on people around town? Boy I sure have!

I just thought they were the latest fashion accessory, turns our this thing is completely functional.

It's called a Fitbit, and just by wearing it every single day it tracks a lot of my health and fitness.

Here take a look, you can go online after you set it up, and it's going to tell you things like how much weight you've lost, how many calories you've eaten throughout the day, your food plan. So right now I've had 352 calories of my 1286, it tells you calories in, calories out, how much water you've head throughout the day and it makes it really really fun because you can connect with people.

So basically I will know exactly by the end of this day how many steps I've taken and then I can log on and see how many my friends have taken and you kinda jab each other. It's just a good way to stay motivated and keep yourself on track. As we know obesity is an epidemic in this country so this is just another way to keep people moving and watch how they eat.

So I'm going to wear this thing for about two weeks and then I'll let you know how it goes at the end of that timeframe.

But at the very least it's going to be fun. My goal? I think about 10,000 steps a day. That's what I hear. I don't know if that's doable for me, we'll see!

Anyway in two weeks we'll check back in with the Fitbit."
