*Nevada Press Release*

Nyasha LeSure buried two free throws with 21 seconds left to break a tie game and the Nevada women's basketball team went on to a 75-73 victory over New Mexico on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center.

Arielle Wideman scored a career-high 24 points to lead Nevada (13-11, 8-5 MW), which over overcame an 11-point deficit to New Mexico (8-15, 3-9) to get the win. Nevada won for the first time this year after trailing at halftime (40-31).

Senior shooting guard Danika Sharp scored 13 points and went over the 1,000-point scoring mark for her career. She also buried two 3-pointers to give her 150 for her career. That ties her for third place with Angie Heer on Nevada's all-time list.

The Lobos shot 68 percent in the first half and led by as many as 11 before settling for the nine-point advantage at the break. But Nevada clawed back into it in the second half, forcing turnovers and increasing its shooting percentage from 30.3 in the first half to 42.4 in the second to take the lead by as many as three with 13 minutes left.

From there, it was a see-saw battle down the stretch and the Wolf Pack hit 24-of-30 from the free-throw line, include LeSure's clutch shots at the end to seal the win – it's fourth in the last five games.

Nevada lost the battle on the boards, 39-38 but had a season-low six turnovers in the game

Nevada will hit the road to play San Jose State on Wednesday before returning home to play host to return home to play host to Air Force on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast at NevadaWolfPack.tv on the Mountain West Network. Don Marchand will also have the call on the new home of the Wolf Pack women's basketball team, KFOY 1060 AM, NBC Sports Radio.
