The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of the driver killed in Friday's fatal rollover accident on I-80 near the Mustang Exit.

NHP says the accident happened around 7:45 a.m. Friday about six miles east of Sparks.

The drivers of a Chevy S-10 pickup - and a semi-truck were both headed east on Interstate 80, when troopers say the semi-truck changed lanes, clipping the Chevy which then hit the guardrail, crossed both east lanes, went up an embankment and then rolled over onto the west lanes of I-80.

The Chevy driver, 50-year-old David S. Abrams of Sparks, died at the scene. The Freightliner driver, 39-year-old Shawn A. Huff of Tremonton, Utah was not hurt.

Two vehicles heading west sustained minor damage from debris caused by the rollover.

If you witnessed the accident, and can help investigators, you're urged to call the Department of Public Safety-Communications Center at (775) 687-0400 regarding case # NHP 140101192.
