CustomInk Celebrates Huge Expansion

Posted: Updated:

What would you call a company that moved to Northern Nevada with 29 employees and in just under two years has grown ten-fold?

Governor Brian Sandoval was on hand for CustomInk's celebration on Tuesday and called it, "nothing short of remarkable."

"I saved the newspaper from the day you opened in March of 2012," Governor Sandoval said. "And the idea that you started with 20 and now employ 320 is really something to celebrate!"

"We didn't really plan on an expansion here," says Shea Richardson with CustomInk. "We wanted to have a base here with like 20 people or so. And business has been so successful that we have 250....300 people!"

Tuesday it celebrated the grand opening of its new facility on Gateway Drive in south Reno; its old facility remains open on Capital Court.

"This is like a whole new spirit of business in this end of town," said City Councilwoman Sharon Zadra. "And successes like this really help sell the area and bring in more successful businesses."

CustomInk specializes in digital printing for T-shirts and mugs and cupholders and their business has been strong since they opened. They did take out some time to celebrate, but they don't plan on slowing down at all. In fact they say they hope to be able to expand yet again in another few years.
