Nevada Falls to #5 San Diego State

Nevada is 12-12 overall and 7-4 in the Mountain West falling 73-58 at #5 San Diego State (21-1, 10-0 MW).

Nevada hosts Fresno State (11-13, 4-7 MW) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.  The Bulldogs defeated San Jose State 82-56 tonight.  The Wolf Pack won the first meeting in double overtime 96-86 in Fresno, Calif.

For the first time this season the Wolf Pack lost back-to-back MW games.  Nevada lost at Utah State 83-75 on Wednesday.

The Pack is tied for third in the MW standings with UNLV at 7-4.

SDSU scored 21 points off Nevada's 12 turnovers in the game.

Senior guard Jerry Evans, Jr. led the Pack with 17 points that tied for game-high honors.  It is the seventh time he topped the Pack in scoring.

Evans scored his 900th career point tonight and currently has 1,912 points.

The Pack's leading rebounder Evans had a season-low one tonight.

Senior point guard Deonte Burton scored 11 points to reach double figures for the 23rd time this season.  Burton led the Pack in rebounding with six.  It is the first time this season he led the team in rebounding and second time of his career.

Sophomore Cole Huff was the third Nevada player to score in double figures finishing with 11.

Junior forward AJ West had two blocks in the game and grabbed five rebounds.  West has 14 blocks in the last four games.   In nine-of-13 games played he has blocked two or more shots.

Head coach David Carter is 86-70 in his fifth season at Nevada.
