From the Regional Transportation Commission:

The Regional Transportation Commission invites the public to attend a community meeting for an introduction and to provide input on the development of the Sun Valley Boulevard Corridor Study on Thursday, Feb. 13th at Sun Valley Neighborhood Center located at 115 W. 6th Avenue in Sun Valley from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The study will identify and evaluate potential multi-modal transportation improvements to make the neighborhood safer, more livable and easier to get around. Improvements to be addressed in the study include pedestrian and ADA (American with Disabilities Act) enhancements, efficient traffic operations, safety, transit and bicycle improvements. A brief presentation about the study will be given at 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Recommendations for neighborhood enhancements will be based on community input received during the length of study, expected to be completed by the end of the year. The Sun Valley Boulevard corridor study limits extends from Scottsdale Road in Reno to Highland Ranch Parkway.
The RTC project team will be available to meet with the public to answer questions and listen to ideas and concerns about the Sun Valley Blvd. Corridor. A Spanish speaking translator will be available at the meeting. For information about the study visit www.sunvalleyblvd.com or www.rtcwashoe.com and click on HOT TOPICS.
