The U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada says a Reno man has been convicted of distributing a synthetic drug commonly known as "spice."

33-year-old Iqbal Singh-Sidhu was found guilty Thursday of multiple counts related to the distribution and possession of the dangerous substances. U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden says the spice he distributed was labeled Diablo, Hayze, White Rhino and Smokin' Dragon.

Singh-Sidhu was originally arrested in March after authorities found dozens of packages of the illicit substance in his Reno home as well as his business Grab n Go Food n Liquors on 4th Street downtown.

This was the first federal jury trial involving synthetic drugs in Nevada.

He faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced on June 9th in Reno.
