First Responders Busy with Overnight Accidents

Posted: Updated:

A series of accidents kept first responders busy overnight, as drivers hit slick roads following the big game.

Reno Police say there were 14 accidents on the roads, from around 8 p.m. Monday night, through the early morning hours Tuesday.

Paramedics with REMSA say they also received dozens of calls related to accidents, between 5 p.m. and midnight.

Police say that is an unusual amount of activity, and that is because snow and slick conditions started picking up just as many were heading home from Super Bowl parties.
