Man Arrested for Transporting Marijuana

The Mineral County Sheriff reports that almost 12 pounds of marijuana have been seized after a man was arrested for driving without headlights.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers, assisted by deputies from the Sheriff's office pulled over a vehicle for driving without headlights in the 800 block of E street in Hawthorne at around 9:28 p.m. Friday night. When troopers pulled over the vehicle, they found the driver, 61-year-old Charles Jezzini of Oregon, had an outstanding warrant.

After arresting Jezzini, law enforcement found 11.5 pounds of marijuana in his car.

Jezzini is being held on $27,630 bail and is charged with having an outstanding warrant, driving without headlights, possession of an illegal substance, possession of an illegal substance with intent to sell, and transportation of an illegal substance.
