Reno police have arrested two men after stopping a home burglary in progress Thursday afternoon.

RPD says they responded to a home in the 600 block of Sierra Park Court in north Reno around 12:45 p.m. when a home's security alarm went off.

Police say when they arrived they confronted two men who took off out the back door of the home.

They arrested one suspect, 22-year-old Adam Ayala, on the scene. Ayala was booked into the Washoe County Jail on the following charges: burglary, grand larceny, grand larceny of a gun, illegal possession of a weapon and drug possession.

Police say they recovered property from this victim's home as well as evidence linking the two suspects to another recent home burglary.

A few hours after Ayala was arrested, police say they located the second suspect in Sparks thanks to a witness tip.

Police arrested 20-year-old Angelo Nobles in the area of G Street. He was booked into the Washoe County Jail on the following charges: burglary, grand larceny, grand larceny of a gun, burglary while possessing a gun, drug possession and possession of stolen property.

The investigation led police to search a home on the 1600 block of G Street. Reno police with the help of Spark Police SWAT, served the search warrant around 9 p.m. Thursday.

This investigation is ongoing.
