400 Customers Affected by Weather-Related Power Outages

Posted: Updated:

NV Energy says most of the power has been turned back on, but about 400 customers remain without electricity in Smith Valley, Yerington, Topaz Ranch Estates and other scattered areas.

There's still no estimate, but most likely power will be restored for everyone sometime this evening.

Earlier in the day NV Energy said that 2,780 customers were affected by weather-related outages.

NV Energy says today's storm dropped a few inches of heavy, wet snow in those areas and that's resulted in several damaged poles and downed wires.
