Nevada Taxable Sales Up 2.1% in November

Taxable sales in Nevada rose 2.1% in November over the same month in 2012.
 
The Department of Taxation on Tuesday reports merchants statewide sold $3.7 billion in goods, with noticeable gains reported in sales at hotels, bars and restaurants, auto dealerships and food manufacturing.
 
Clark County saw increased sales of 5.7%, while Washoe County in northern Nevada posted a nearly 10% increase.
 
Nevada collected nearly $297 million in gross sales and use taxes in November, an increase of 4.2% compared with November 2012. 
 
Statewide, 10 of Nevada's 17 counties reported increased sales activity.  (AP)
