GOP Rules Change, Keeps Nevada Caucus Early

Posted: Updated:

New rules approved by Republican Party leaders Friday allows Nevada to remain one of the first states in the nation to choose the GOP's presidential candidate.

Nevada would fourth in the country behind New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina.

All states would vote in February of 2016 under the new schedule. The nation's other 46 states and territories would vote between early March and mid-May.

Today's change comes as the Republican National Committee works to create an easier path to the White House for its next presidential nominee.
