Juvenile Hospitalized in Overnight Shooting

The Reno Police Department reports that one teenager has been hospitalized after being shot early Sunday morning.

According to police, at around 12:36 a.m. on Sunday, January 12th, officers were called to the Austin Crest Apartments at 1295 Grand Summit Drive, on reports of a suspicious person in the area.

Then just before 1 a.m. Reno Police, Reno Fire and REMSA were called to the same apartment complex on reports that a 17-year-old juvenile had been shot.

Police say the shooter has been identified and interviewed, but add that both incidents are still under investigation.

No arrests have been made at this point, but police are asking anyone with any relevant information report it to Secret Witness at 322-4900.
