Posted: Updated:

Authorities say they have arrested one of two inmates missing since Wednesday afternoon when they walked away from their work assignment in north Reno.

Dustin Cottiero was arrested Friday afternoon near 4th Street and Morrill Avenue in Reno. Cottiero was serving time for attempted burglary out of Washoe County.

The Nevada Department of Corrections says Cottiero and Corey Gomez were assigned to work detail with the Nevada Division of Forestry when they walked away from near the I-80 and Robb Drive area.

Gomez remains on the loose at the time of this writing. He was serving time for burglary and resisting an officer with a weapon from Clark County.

If you see Gomez, call 911 or call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411 or go online to www.secretwitness.com

Both men were assigned to the Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City.
