Missing Teen Found, Non-custodial Father Behind Bars

Posted: Updated:

Fallon Police have ended the search for a missing teen who had been taken by her father, who is now behind bars.

According to police, 14-year-old Jasmine Ross' mother allowed her to visit with her non- custodial father, Ishan "Shan" Ross, Saturday but she never returned home.

Tuesday, Fallon Police obtained a Felony Kidnapping and Custodial Interference warrant Ross' arrest.

When investigators found out Ross was at or near his home in Running Springs, California, they requested the help of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Twin Peak substation and the U.S. Marshal's Office to serve the warrant and take custody of Jasmine.

They say around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday Ross was taken into custody and is being held on $55,000 bail.

Jasmine was found sleeping inside Ross' home and was turned over to California Child Protective Services. She is awaiting transport back Nevada.
