Deputies in Lyon County say they believe carbon monoxide poisoning was to blame for the deaths of two teenagers in Fernley overnight.

Around midnight, investigators responded to the 200 block of Sandia Drive in Fernley on a report of an unresponsive boy and girl in a parked car.

Emergency responders performed CPR on them but could not resuscitate them.

Investigators do not believe foul play was a factor in their deaths.

Family members have identified one teen as 16-year-old Alondra Rivera. The other teen has been identified by friends as 16-year-old Zack Dwyer.
