Rollover Accident Sends 3 Teens to the Hospital

Posted: Updated:

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a rollover accident and possible D.U.I. in Spanish Springs early Wednesday morning that sent three teens to the hospital.

Authorities tell us 7 teenagers were in a car on Dolores Drive near Starhill Way just after 1 a.m. They say none of them were wearing seatbelts when the driver rolled the car on the gravel road.

They say the driver was ejected during the crash, and was transported by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center.

They say all but one of the remaining victims fled the scene. The teen that stayed was transported by ambulance to Renown. Deputies found another teen hiding in the brush nearby. She was taken to Renown by ambulance as well.

Deputies say after investigating, they found the location of the other 4 teens involved and have checked up on them.

Alcohol does appear to be a factor in the crash, but charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
