Sparks Middle School Students Can Attend Free Weekend in Tahoe

Posted: Updated:

From the Presbytery of Nevada:

The Presbytery of Nevada has been awarded a $12,000 grant to host a free weekend for Sparks Middle School students January 24-26th at the Zephyr Point Conference Center, South Lake Tahoe.

The students will receive complimentary gondola tickets and tubing from Heavenly Vail Resorts and two survivors from the Jonesboro, Arkansas shooting (1998) will be joining us to share words of hope and courage with the students.

The registration is first come, first serve for up to 100 students. Current Sparks Middle School families should call 775-424-3622 or email sspresbychurch@hotmail.com

The $12,000 grant is from the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

Due to separation of church and state and legal liabilities, our Northern Nevada Churches are hosting this weekend independent of Washoe School District and the leadership at Sparks Middle School.
