Things 2 Do This Weekend

It's a weekend for a little bit of everything. For those interested in cleaning up the holidays, Waste Management is holding its annual residential Dump Days with $10 truckloads of trash both Saturday and Sunday. For theater lovers a known playwright will open his play, 'Danny and the Deep Blue Sea' here in Reno this weekend. And you can also see the Comstock Cowboys on stage in Sparks this weekend. And who doesn't want to play Elvis? Enjoy!

David John and the Comstock Cowboys, John Ascuaga's Nugget, 8 pm

David John and the Comstock Cowboys are legendary and known for their period music and their performances on the Comstock. They will make their way from Virginia City to Sparks to perform at John Ascuaga's Nugget tonight. Show starts at 8 pm.

Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Good Luck Macbeth Theatre, 7:30pm

The Merry War Theatre Group out of Los Angeles is working with the local Good Luck Macbeth Theatre Co. to put on an emotional play by playwright John Patrick Shanley who has made a name with movies including Joe Versus the Volcano and Moonstruck. This play, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea is set in a bar in the Bronx and will run through January 18th…with curtain times at 7:30 Friday and Saturday nights.

Waste Management Residential Dump Days 8am-4:30pm

It's time to clean out the clutter and Waste Management wants to help. That's right it's time for their annual Residential Dump Days. General trash for $10 a truckload…with some extra charges for some appliances. And you have all weekend from 8am-4:30pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Elvis Pub Crawl, Silver Legacy, 7:30pm

Pick an Elvis, any Elvis, from any decade and do it up right. The Silver Legacy in Reno celebrates them all this Saturday night starting at 7:30 with it's annual Elvis Pub Crawl.
