The Nevada Men's Basketball Team is getting a boost in the paint.   Head Coach David Carter announced today that Junior College transfer, A.J. West has been cleared to play by the N.C.A.A.  You might recall, West had to sit out the first 11 games of the season while Nevada and the N.C.A.A. cleared up some non-academic eligibility issues.

Coach Carter said that West will be put in the lineup immediately, which could provide a huge spark for the Nevada front court.   West was one of the top Junior College recruits in the country.  At 6'9" 230lbs. he averaged just under 11 points and 9 rebounds, while leading the J.C. ranks with 5.1 blocks-per-game.
