Northeast Digs Out as Skiers Enjoy Fresh Snow

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Airports in the Northeast are working to get back to normal after a snowstorm caused hundreds of canceled flights.
 
At Boston's Logan airport, where many flights were canceled this morning, most afternoon flights are listed as on time. Flights in the New York City area have been taking off on schedule today.
 
The National Weather Service says snowfall in the region ranged from 2 to 8 inches in Connecticut and Rhode Island to almost 11 inches in northern Massachusetts and nearly 17 inches on Maine's southern coast.
 
Weather Service meteorologist Bill Simpson calls it "a pretty typical winter storm."
 
While the weather posed some problems for travelers, skiers were rejoicing. One woman enjoying the fresh powder at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, N.H., said, "You don't get a lot of days like this on the East Coast, so when you do everyone's psyched
