Winter Storm Brings Snow to Northern Nevada

After an overnight winter storm, many northern Nevadans are waking up to find cars and roads blanketed in snow. Roads are expected to become slick and hazardous, and drivers are asked to slow down and use caution.

All Sparks Hometowne Christmas events will go on as scheduled, but the Joe Bonamassa concert at the Reno Events Center has been moved to Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

Representatives from the Reno-Tahoe International airport say that their flights are all running on time, but want to remind anyone who is flying to check on connecting flights, which may be delayed in other parts of the country.

The Red Cross and F.I.S.H. have opened a warming shelter in Carson City's Fuji Park. It will be open from 6:00 p.m. through 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
